Brand new for this year, sign up for our five-a-side football competition! Limited to sixteen teams on the day, you’ll be competing in ten-minute matches for the inaugural Highlands Cup!

Also new for this year, we’ll be playing host to a very special rugby exhibition match, where two teams will pay homage to Scotland’s long history of elite rugby. After the match, stick around to learn more about the essential passing, tackling and catching skills in rugby!

Finally, we’ll be marking one hundred years since legendary sprinter Eric Liddell won gold at the 1924 Paris Olympics with a 100m dash! Sponsored by the Scottish Government Office in China, this special event commemorates Liddell, a paramount figure in China-Scottish relations.
我们还将致敬传奇苏格兰短跑运动员埃里克·利迪尔，今年是他在 1924 年巴黎奥运会 取得100 米短跑冠军的 100 周年！在现场我们会举办一场由苏格兰政府驻华办事处赞助的特别活动，旨在纪念利迪尔这位对中国苏格兰关系至关重要的人物！
As well as our new competitions, we’ll have all our old favourites like the tug of war competition, sack race, farmer’s walk, and much much more! All these competitions come with very special prizes from our partners and vendors on the day.

Together with our partners Trainyard, Taozi Tree Yoga and Dulwich Community Programmes, we’ll also have plenty of fun sports stalls running throughout the day. Whether it’s trying your hand at a basketball shooting drill, joining a special yoga class, or just playing a bit of tennis in the sun, we’ll have lots of activities going on for all age groups.

It wouldn’t be the Highland Games without a ceilidh – a traditional Scottish dance! Our friends at the Beijing Scottish Society will be organising two very special ceilidhs for all to take part in. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first ceilidh or your fiftieth – our expert teachers will be teaching all the basic steps you need to know. We’ll even have bagpipes!

From fish & chips and traditional British breakfasts, to luxury jianbing and tantalising tacos, there’ll be plenty on offer on the day. Wash it down with handmade coffee, tea, or something stronger! Or, bring your own picnic and soak in the atmosphere – we’ll have shaded tents on offer with great views of all the entertainment
